The first KHS color run was held on Saturday, April 11. The run was sponsored by the class of 2018; half of the proceeds went to the class and half went to the club, Circle of Friends.
“The club is a place for people to feel welcomed. Originally it was centered around students with special needs, but really anyone can join,” Maggie Kiley, Circle of Friends board member, said.
Mr. Nixon’s sports marketing also helped organize the run and find sponsors.
“It was really awesome that people came. Since it was the first [color run], we didn’t know if people would actually come out,” Griffin Kibens, senior, said. “Our goal was 200, but 275 people pre-reistered and more people signed up this morning.”
