Taking breaks can make work more appealing because you can approach the task with a fresh outlook.
Give yourself breaks
Lydia Cohen, print + web managing editor
Video calls can be more draining than traditional in-person meetings, which can lead to “Zoom fatigue.” When your brain has exhausted its energy, it’s okay to step away from the screen. Use your lunch break to get outside rather than watch TV, or get up and stretch during your Zoom calls. Taking breaks may help you stop forcing yourself to pay attention and maintain alertness, making work more appealing because you can approach the task with a fresh outlook.
