For this editorial cartoon, I wanted to focus on the double whammy that AP students have to face at the end of the year. Along with final exams, some students will have to take AP exams around the same time at the end of this year. Needless to say, our brains have taken a serious beating. I tried to capture that feeling of exhaustion in this cartoon. I wanted to represent the idea of having test after test in a dramatic way, and I thought that the perfect way to do that would to create a boxing scene. The brain, represented by a boxer, has taken a beating and is being encouraged by a coach, meant to represent the student. As the end of the year approaches, students are becoming more and more overwhelmed by all the finals and AP exams on their plate, and I wanted to capture that feeling in this piece.
