Fall has begun. We have been waiting all summer, especially with the summer St. Louis had, to enjoy a little bite in the air. We can finally wear our cozy sweaters, warm scarves, and last but certainly not least, our boots. We all love a good boot. Last year, it felt like everyone was sporting their beautiful leather riding boots. While these are a classic staple, riding boots have made way for a new kind of shoe.
As temperatures are dropping, so are the heights of our boots. Rather than hitting right below the knee, many of fall’s new boots hit right above the ankle. Leather, suede, woven, and heeled, all included. They are perfect for showing off tall, colorful socks and tucking in tight leggings. They also contain the much needed comfort for walking from class to class. While comfortable, they are the perfect transition from the sandals and tennis shoes of the summer to something more formal and chic for fall. Ankle-boots can be worn practically anywhere, from parties or to school, and are perfectly comfortable.
