Iration is a Pop Reggae band from Santa Barbara, California. It consists of guitarist Micah Pueschel, Drummer Joseph Dickens, Keyboarder Cayson Peterson, Bassist Adam Taylor, and Percussionist Kai Rediske who left the band prior to their recent album Automatic. The Band is known for their mix of Reggae, Dub, and Rock which has translated into songs such as Burn and Time Bomb .

Their first album, No Time For Rest, 2007, reached the top of the billboard reggae albums chart. My favorite album, Time Bomb, 2010, sold over 36,000 copies. Most recently, in July, they released their third studio album, Automatic, which sold more than 8,000 copies in the first week. Ex Cage the Elephant Guitarist Lincoln Parish helped produce a few of the songs on the album. The band’s songs’ are a great mix of feel good vibes and rock tunes. I’m With You is a great song to check out because it has an upbeat tempo of a modern day pop song that mixes great with their own sound. Turn Around and Summer Nights are two more quality songs to check out.

Iration is a great band to listen to whether you feel like you are in a good mood or you just want to relax. They embody what a true reggae band represents yet show immense potential towards new boundaries of future music.
