It can record video, take pictures with flash, connect to the Internet and video call. Oh, and it is a phone too.
The iPhone 4, introduced by Apple on June 24, sold more than 1.7 million of these highly anticipated phones within the first three days of public release. The newest feature to the iPhone 4 is FaceTime, an application that uses video calling via the front or back camera.
Apple’s long experience in the development of iPhones gives the company more credibility in the world of smart phones. With the invention of the iPhone, more cellular companies are producing their version of Apple’s iPhone, which reduces smart phone prices.
The Apple iPhone 4 sells at $199 for the 16GB and $299 for the 32GB.
The Droid Incredible, introduced by Verizon Wireless and HTC in late April became a popular selection for the people who do not have AT&T but wanted a smart phone that competed on the same level as the iPhone 4.
The Droid has an eight-megapixel camera, while the iPhone 4 only has a five-megapixel camera. Both smart phones offer high-resolution touch screens, full keyboards for quick typing, video recording and Wi-Fi compatibility.
While the Droid Incredible offers external memory slots for interchangeable amounts of memory, the iPhone 4 is equipped with HD video recording and built in memory (16GB or 32GB).
The Droid Incredible sells for $199 through Verizon Wireless.
