We all had favorite toys when we were younger, whether they were dolls, action figures, or stuffed animals. The Kirkwood Call asked some of KHS’s students and teachers what their most cherished toy was when they were kids.
“I liked the game Operation,” Sean McCarthy, teacher said. “I liked the little buzz noise. Fear is fun.”
“English brass soldiers were my favorite toy because they had a special meaning behind them,” Luke Beattie, senior said. “My used to bring them back whenever he would go on work to England. I used to think England was the coolest place in the world, so my dad whenever he brought them back to me, he would always bring a different style of English soldier and it was always just a lot of fun to collect them over the years.”
“Polly pockets. They’re so little and cute and they had cool houses,” Casey Norton, junior said. “They had little pet cats you could play with and their pet houses were really realistic.”
“A buzz lightyear toy,” Amonte Mason, sophomore “I just had a bunch of buzz lightear stuff when I was little, it was the theme of my room.
“Mine was dolls because my sister had a lot of dolls and I wanted to be like her,” Nina Golterman, sophomore said.
