Maryanne, senior, and Maggie Kiley, sophomore, give The Kirkwood Call an inside look on what it’s like being a part of the Kiley sisterhood.
The Kirkwood Call (KC): Describe your sister in one word.
Maryanne: Distracted.
Maggie: Weird.
KC: What would you do with $1,000,000?
Maryanne: I would invest some, buy myself a nice wardrobe and save a lot of it.
Maggie: I would give some charity, spend some and give some to my family.
KC: What is a song that reminds you of your sister?
Maryanne: “Fire Burning’” by Sean Kingston.
Maggie: “Fire Burning” by Sean Kingston.
KC: What is your favorite T.V. show?
Maryanne: One Tree Hill.
Maggie: The Bachelorette.
KC: How much time do you spend together?
Maryanne: Probably around three or four hours per day.
Maggie: I guess five hours.
KC: Who is more of a morning person?
Maryanne: Neither of us.
Maggie: Me.
KC: What is your favorite food?
Maryanne: Mac and Cheese. Velveeta Shells and Cheese to be specific.
Maggie: Chocolate.
KC: What is your sister most likely to be doing on the weekends?
Maryanne: Number one would be playing soccer and number two would be baking a random food, that’s probably it.
Maggie: Babysitting and if not, at home with the family or at a friend’s house.
KC: Is she more like a sibling or a friend to you?
Maryanne: Both I guess because if she wasn’t my sister I probably wouldn’t be her friend but because we are sisters and we spend time together we are better friends.
Maggie: A friend and a sister because we annoy each other but we are as close as friends.
KC: What is the best memory you have had with your sibling?
Maryanne: When we were little we had these matching obnoxious purple shiny winter coats. We would always wear them at the same time and for some reason she named her’s coyote and when she couldn’t find it she would ask, “Where’s coyote?” And also she always called me “Weppy” because she couldn’t pronounce my name.
Maggie: One time in Virginia when we were on vacation, we were talking in a French accent the whole time.
KC: Want to add anything else about your relationship?
Maryanne: A lot of the times she comes in my room and sits on my bed and talks about random stuff and I act like I don’t like it but I actually I do like her coming in and talking to me because it is just something that makes her, her.
Maggie: Well no, I can’t think of anything.
