I get it. You’re always hungry. You don’t eat breakfast and then you forget your lunch and get stuck eating cafeteria food. By the time you get home from school you’re exhausted and starving. You could munch on some candy bars or load up on potato chips but you know you’re still going to be hungry five minutes later. So, here are some easy, healthy snacks you can make after a long school day.

Peanut Butter Snack Dip
INGREDIENTS
1 (6 oz) container plain Greek yogurt
3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
3 teaspoons honey
DIRECTIONS
Combine Greek yogurt, peanut butter and honey.
Stir until smooth.
Serve with apples, graham crackers or pretzels.
Ricotta and Strawberry Bagel
INGREDIENTS
1 whole grain bagel
2 tablespoons ricotta cheese
⅓ cup sliced strawberries
1 teaspoon honey
DIRECTIONS
Spread ricotta on bagel.
Top with strawberries and drizzle with honey.
Pizza Crackers
INGREDIENTS
10 Ritz crackers
10 teaspoons pizza sauce
10 thin slices of pizza pepperoni (optional)
1/2 cup shredded cheese
DIRECTIONS
Place crackers on a plate.
Top each cracker with a piece of pepperoni and spread with about 1 tsp sauce.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Microwave for 1 minute.
Strawberry Smoothie
INGREDIENTS
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 cup milk
Ice cubes
DIRECTIONS
Place all the ingredients in a blender.
Blend and add ice cubes until smoothie reaches desired consistency.
*Note: If you are using frozen fruit you will not need ice cubes. If you are using fresh fruit, expect to use about ½ cup of ice.
Homemade Microwave Popcorn
INGREDIENTS
⅓ cup popcorn kernels
1 teaspoon cinnamon or 2 teaspoons salt
DIRECTIONS
Place popcorn kernels in a brown paper bag and fold over the top twice.
Place bag in microwave for 1 ½ to 2 minutes.
Top popcorn with cinnamon or salt.
