The shows for the 2011-2012 theater season were announced May 18 at the KH Players Drama Banquet. The program will continue to do four shows, including a play in the Keating Center in the fall, a freshman and sophomore production and a Black Box show in winter in the Black Box Theatre and a musical in Keating in the spring.
The fall production will be The Visit by Friedrich Dürrenmatt, the Black Box show will be Fools by Neil Simon and the musical will be South Pacific by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. The freshman and sophomore production has yet to be determined.
The KH Players have also been invited to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in August 2012. Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world and the cast of The Visit will be doing four performances of the show at this event. Auditions for The Visit for rising freshmen will be, for NKMS students, May 19 and for Nipher students May 24. Auditions for KHS students will be May 23 immediately after school.
