Six seniors were recently declared National Merit Semifinalists in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program. Johnny Frohlichstein, Emily Goyda, Jess Grommet, Alina Luke, Ben Sulser and Sarah Tucker take their places among 16,000 semifinalists around the country.
National Merit qualification is based upon a student’s performance on the preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. These students will have the opportunity to advance to the Finalist level and compete for 8,300 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $34 million. The finalists will be announced this spring.
