KHS talent put on display
Update: Bridget Lee, senior, won first place in a pogo stick routine. Merrick Schnider, junior, placed second singing and playing guitar. The musical duo of Joanna Serenko and Grace Daniels, sophomore and junior, placed third. Student Council raised $636.42 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association as over 100 people attended.
The annual KHS talent show will take place in the Keating Theater tonight, Oct. 27. This event features a diverse group of KHS students who will perform talents such as singing, instrumentation and pogo-sticking. The program is put on by Student Council, sponsored by Kelly Puetz, math teacher, and Nicki Kauffman, social studies teacher.
Ticket sales begin at 6:30 p.m. for $5 each, and the show starts at 7 p.m. All money from sales will go toward the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which works to give aid to people with neuromuscular diseases and disabilities.
Trophies are awarded by a panel of judges to the first, second and third place performances. This year’s host is Randy Kriewall, math teacher, who will introduce the students and give comedic quips between acts. After the talent show contestants finish, the AP Literature band led by Simao Drew, English teacher, will perform to wrap up the evening.
