Spring Choral Finale concert
Joining together to sing as one for the last time this year, the A Cappella Concert Choir, Women’s Chorus and Men’s Voice Class performed Monday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. The Women’s Chorus and Men’s Voice Class went on stage first, singing a total of five songs. The A Cappella Concert Choir then sang five songs as well.
To recognize the seniors, David Cannon, choir director, presented a medal to each senior in all choirs. Mike Gavin, senior principal, read off the names of the students as they walked across the stage to receive their medal and shake Cannon’s hand. The choir then sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
“With all sincerity, this piece goes out to the seniors,” Cannon said. “We wish [the seniors] the very best in everything.”
All choirs ended the concert with a finale singing “Take Me to Higher Ground” by Carl Strommen. The A Cappella Concert Choir will be performing again at the Interfaith Service Friday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m.
