The Greentree Festival is coming to Kirkwood Park Sept. 14-16. There is something there for everyone. Boyfriends can win their girlfriends a stuffed animal or a 2-liter bottle of soda at the game section. Art enthusiasts can shop for hours for locally made arts and crafts at the extensive arts and crafts section near the tennis courts. If history and browsing through rustic items suits you, visit the Folklife Festival with blacksmithing and a civil war reenactment. Others come simply for the food including kebabs, bratwursts and assorted deep fried selections. That ’80s Band will play Friday night in the Lions Amphitheater at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, the annual Greentree parade will begin at 10 a.m. kicking off the main day of the festival. On Sunday at 10:00 a.m. there will be a classic car show along with the Ronald McDonald Magic show at 2:30 p.m. The festival will be open from 5-10 p.m. Friday, 8:30 a.m.- 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
