Photo gallery : girls’ varsity softball vs Rockwood Summit
The girls’ varsity softball team played Rockwood Summit Monday, Sept. 24. The girls won 11-9 in a tight game that came down to the ninth inning. With a walkoff by Jessie Hopper, junior, the girls were able to pull off a win. “We have had a lot of tight games this year,” Katie Hastings, sophomore, said “It felts like our time to get the win.” When asked how it feels to play such nail biting games Hastings said, “It’s nerve racking you want to get the win for your team.”

Mark Borella is a 1984 Kirkwood alum who owns and operates the Seeds of Happiness studio.
"A friend of mine's son was sick, and we knew he wasn't going to make it. I made a handful of these little smiles, [and gave it to the family.] I said maybe you can hold on to [them] until you get your smile back. [The family] said 'it would be very selfish if I didn't tell you to do this for other people.'"
