Circle of Friends held their first event of the year, the popsicle social, during homeroom on Thursday, Sept. 12. They danced and listened to music as they made new friends and enjoyed their popsicles. Circle of Friends is a club for any student wanting to join, and their purpose is to create friendships between students with disabilities and those without. They have many holiday parties and get-togethers throughout the year, and the popsicle social was the introduction.

“Circle of Friends is an outlet for me to come and help out the population where it’s maybe harder for them to make friends,” Ben Voller, junior, said. “I think it’s extremely important. By joining and coming to a meeting, you’ll make friends.”
