The Kirkwood girls’ varsity basketball team played their second game of the St. Joseph’s Academy tournament on Nov. 24. against Dexter High School. The state champions won the game 45-42, following their 49-47 win against Rock Bridge the day before.
“[The season] has been going really well,” Natalie Bruns, junior, said. “We have a lot of new faces this year and with our title last year a lot of people aren’t expecting too much from us but I think we’ve really been surprising people, especially with our first two games.”
