Unified Night Lights took place Wednesday, Oct. 16 with each football player assigned a partner throughout the game.
“Unified Night Lights showed the importance of never taking anything for granted,” Andrew Morton, football player, said. “I never put into perspective how nice of a life I have and how blessed I am, but Unified Night Lights really showed me that.”

Mark Borella is a 1984 Kirkwood alum who owns and operates the Seeds of Happiness studio.
"A friend of mine's son was sick, and we knew he wasn't going to make it. I made a handful of these little smiles, [and gave it to the family.] I said maybe you can hold on to [them] until you get your smile back. [The family] said 'it would be very selfish if I didn't tell you to do this for other people.'"

The tone of this gallery intro is disappointing: “I’m thankful that’s not me.” This event is meant to show what brings us together rather than what sets us apart. You may have had good intentions, but you missed the mark entirely.
