JV boys’ volleyball played Pattonville on Tuesday, April 19. Kirkwood beat Pattonville in two sets adding another win to their season. Despite the effects of COVID-19, spring sports have continued with limited spectators and a requirement to wear masks. This boys’ volleyball season has felt somewhat normal to some of the JV players.
“It hasn’t really been that different other than not switching sides on sets,” Charlie McGraw, junior and JV setter said. “All the other teams are still at the same skill level because no one had a season last year.”

Mark Borella is a 1984 Kirkwood alum who owns and operates the Seeds of Happiness studio.
"A friend of mine's son was sick, and we knew he wasn't going to make it. I made a handful of these little smiles, [and gave it to the family.] I said maybe you can hold on to [them] until you get your smile back. [The family] said 'it would be very selfish if I didn't tell you to do this for other people.'"
