Every year Unified Night Lights (UNL) brings everyone together for a night of football. Students in Pommies, cheer, Pep Nation, and football get buddied up with students with special needs to recreate a Friday night football game. Friends and families fill the stands and support the students on the field.
“When kids give back feedback about how much fun they’re having it makes everything so special.” Audrey Tucker, senior on Pep Nation said, “It’s fun seeing how happy they are and I had a great time.”

Mark Borella is a 1984 Kirkwood alum who owns and operates the Seeds of Happiness studio.
"A friend of mine's son was sick, and we knew he wasn't going to make it. I made a handful of these little smiles, [and gave it to the family.] I said maybe you can hold on to [them] until you get your smile back. [The family] said 'it would be very selfish if I didn't tell you to do this for other people.'"
