Photo gallery: Girls varsity lacrosse practice
As spring sports start up this March, girls lacrosse has begun their practices. Kirkwood girls lacrosse has been ready to get to work this spring, and have been preparing to take on some fun competition this season. The girls have been waiting for this season to start and are excited to get started.
“Going into this season I’m excited to see the girls around me grow,” Sydney Shields, junior, said. “With a lot of new players I think this season will be a great time for us to learn to love the game of lacrosse.”

Mark Borella is a 1984 Kirkwood alum who owns and operates the Seeds of Happiness studio.
"A friend of mine's son was sick, and we knew he wasn't going to make it. I made a handful of these little smiles, [and gave it to the family.] I said maybe you can hold on to [them] until you get your smile back. [The family] said 'it would be very selfish if I didn't tell you to do this for other people.'"
