On Thursday, Sept. 29, Missouri Governor, Mike Parson visited KHS to talk to the students and staff following the announcement of KHS being awarded the Blue Ribbon Award. After the assembly, Governor Parson was taken to see the progression of the construction and to see the plan for future of KHS.

“It’s impressive when you come here, you see the administration, you see what the school’s all about,” Parson said. “You want schools to be models for other schools. I hope there’s a school down the road that says ‘Hey, I want to be [like] Kirkwood.’”
