The Kirkwood hockey team won their game against DeSmet on Feb. 6, 2022 at Queeny Recreational Complex. Many people attended to show support for the teams. “Scoring is my favorite part of the game or celebrating [with] the crowd,” Ben Cameron, junior, said.
The Kirkwood team cheers as they come close to making a goal.

Mark Borella is a 1984 Kirkwood alum who owns and operates the Seeds of Happiness studio.
"A friend of mine's son was sick, and we knew he wasn't going to make it. I made a handful of these little smiles, [and gave it to the family.] I said maybe you can hold on to [them] until you get your smile back. [The family] said 'it would be very selfish if I didn't tell you to do this for other people.'"
