On Feb. 23, Kirkwood varsity girls basketball hosted a game against Pattonville High School in the Denver Miller gym. Despite losing 27-59, the girls worked well together and didn’t give up.

“[The team] continued to push forward,” Emma Appel, sophomore and varsity basketball player, said. Appel also said the team communicated well during the game.
