On Monday, Oct. 9, the Kirkwood varsity field hockey team had their Pink Out game against Nerinx High School. Kirkwood won 3-2 in a shootout against Nerinx, marking Kirkwood’s 13th win of the season. Their final game of is Oct. 10, after which their post-season will start. Georgia Torpey, junior, talked about the win of the Pink Out game.
“It was a tough game, it was definitely back and forth, but we went into overtime and shootouts and we won in shootouts,” Torpey said. “I do like Pink Out games, I think they’re really fun and it’s a great way to support a really great cause and I feel like it brings everyone together.”
