Each year at Kirkwood High School, the classes compete in a hallway decorating contest to celebrate the annual Turkey Day. This year the junior class of 2014 had the theme of Toy Story. To decorate the hallway, many juniors stayed after school the night before and helped to decorate the hallway with their fellow class mates. “I think our hallway was so impressive” said Emmy Nixon, junior. “Not every grade can make a plane that looks like it is flying back home, or a fully functioning claw machine. I think our grade is over zealous with hallways or other spirit related things. This was Nixon’s first year helping decorate a hallway. “I think that enthusiasm is what makes it fun, but a bit chaotic” Nixon said.
