In the streets of Downtown St. Louis many people over look the culture and architecture of the city. The streets of St. Louis were crowded with people experiencing the life of the city, Aug. 15. People who live in St. Louis often don’t realize the beauty of downtown and these photos uncover the hidden wonder.
Located on Washington Avenue, this building is full of design and beautiful architecture. Washington Avenue is known as the "Great Street" for its industrial architecture and lively atmosphere.

Mark Borella is a 1984 Kirkwood alum who owns and operates the Seeds of Happiness studio.
"A friend of mine's son was sick, and we knew he wasn't going to make it. I made a handful of these little smiles, [and gave it to the family.] I said maybe you can hold on to [them] until you get your smile back. [The family] said 'it would be very selfish if I didn't tell you to do this for other people.'"
