Varsity boys’ cross country season review
In the 2015 fall season, the boys’ varsity cross country team had three runners qualify for state including Beau Bramlett, senior, Holden Foreman, junior and Christian Baker, freshman. Coached by Wayne Baldwin, this was the first season that non-seniors have qualified for state since 1995. The varsity team won first place at the Stan Nelson, Parkway Central and Borgia meets this season. The boys also came in second at Conferences, and sixth at Districts, where they were 6 points away from qualifying for sectionals as a team.
“My favorite part of cross country is the team atmosphere,” Jack Adams, sophomore, said. “Individually we are a group of extremely odd teenagers with very diverse personalities, but as a team, we form a family that no other sport can compare to.”
