KYS hosts a spin art and tie-dye booth at the Crystal Festival in Greentree Park Oct. 7. All of the shirts sold were made at a tie-dye making party, and the customers at the festival made their own spin art. All of the proceeds were donated to charity.  One of the charities is called MPM Haiti and it helps children in Haiti get education. The other charity is called Ready Readers that helps children who don’t have access to books or don’t know how to read. Francie Huisinga, junior, volunteers through KYS often. “It’s a good way to be able to go to a lot of different events to help the community and other people around Saint Louis, because we do a wide variety of things as opposed to being involved in one thing,” Huisinga said.
