Kirkwood boys’ soccer hosted Clayton High School for their senior night Monday, Oct. 15. Clayton came into the game a heavy favorite with a record of 18-1 against Kirkwood’s 3-18. Although things were looking up for Kirkwood with the game tied 1-1, Clayton scored two goals in the second half to finish off the Pioneers.
“I was a little nervous, but I wanted to be a leader and win for the other seniors,” said senior David Easter. “We weren’t expected to win at all, but we played well for how good (Clayton) was, and we feel like we can still do something in districts.”
