Police Beat: 4/27-5/3
On Monday, April 27, 2015, police received a report of identity theft from a victim in the 1900 block of Hunting Lake Court. The victim’s bank account had two electronic withdrawals made that were not authorized.
On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, a forgery was reported to police. The victim, who resides in the 100 block of Wildwood, discovered a check was forged by an unknown subject claiming to be the victim.
On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, police recovered a stolen vehicle in the 400 block of North Kirkwood Road. The vehicle was originally reported stolen in the venue of St. Louis. The vehicle was unoccupied and towed for St Louis Metropolitan Police.
On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, police responded to the 400 block of Greenleaf for an identity theft report. The victim’s credit card number had been used for two unauthorized purchases on the internet.
On Friday, May 1, 2015, officers were notified of a theft of an iPhone in the 1000 block of South Kirkwood. The victim set his phone down on table at a local business and left it. The phone was missing when the victim returned to retrieve it.
On Saturday, May 2, 2015, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Pinegate for a destruction of property report. The victim’s car appeared to have had paint splattered on the vehicle, presumably from paint balls.
Kirkwood Police arrested four adults for shoplifting merchandise from an area business located in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road from Monday, 04-27-2015, through Sunday, 05-03-2015. All four cases were referred to municipal court.
