Police Beat: 10/5-10/11
On Monday, 10-05-2015, a resident from Arnold, MO, reported a theft to police. The victim’s wallet, debit card, and medication were stolen from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 700 block of South Kirkwood Road. The items were stolen the previous day.
On Monday, 10-05-2015, officers were summoned to the 10300 block of Manchester for a larceny report. The victim reported having a carry-on luggage contained a purse stolen from her vehicle. The side window to the vehicle was broken to gain access to the bag.
On Thursday, 10-08-2015, police were dispatched to a business in the 600 block of South Berry for a property damage report. Employees of the business discovered a vehicle drove on the golf course and caused damage to the playing surfaces.
On Sunday, 10-11-2015, a resident from the 600 block of Lewiston called police to report a residential burglary. The resident arrived home to find the back door forced open and silver place settings and a pair of earrings stolen from the home.
Kirkwood Police arrested two adults for shoplifting merchandise from a Kirkwood businesses located in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road during the week of Monday, 10-05-2015, through Sunday, 10-11-2015. One of the cases qualified as felony stealing- third offense due to the suspect having at least two previous theft-related convictions. That case was referred to the St Louis County Prosecutor’s Office for review. The other case was referred to Municipal Court.
