Police Beat: 11/23-11/29
On Monday, November 23, 2015, police responded to the 11000 block of Manchester for a report of thefts. Two vans parked on rear lot of the business had the tires and wheels removed from the vehicles.
On Wednesday, November 25, 2015, a bicycle was recovered by police on Park Ave. The bicycle was brought to the station awaiting the owner.
On Wednesday, November 25, 2015, police responded to the 100 block of East Rosehill for destruction of property reports. Three vehicles parked on the street had their car windows shattered.
On Thursday, November 26, 2015, officers handled several thefts from vehicle reports in the 1200 block of Willow View. Several vehicles on the block were left unlocked and had been rifled thru. A laptop was stolen from one of the vehicles.
On Friday, November 27, 2015, a victim from the 500 block of North Clay reported a stolen vehicle to police. The vehicle was left unlocked and keys were inside the vehicle when it was stolen. The vehicle was recovered later the same day abandoned in Kinloch, Missouri.
On Friday, November 27, 2015, police responded to the 500 block of South Ballas for a larceny from a vehicle report. Two vehicles were left unlocked parked in the driveway. A purse was stolen from one of the vehicles.
On Friday, November 27, 2015 police took several reports of larcenies from vehicles that occurred in the 400 block of Bach, 500 block of Arminda, 1700 block of Janet and 500 block of Edna. Wallets, purses, toolboxes were stolen from the vehicles.
On Saturday, November 28, 2015, police were dispatched for a larceny from a residence in the 700 block of Linwood. Two lawn ornaments were removed from the front porch.
On Sunday, November 29, 2015, officers responded to a report of a larceny from a residence in the 400 block of East Argonne. A four foot tall snowman was removed from the front porch.
Kirkwood Police arrested three adults for shoplifting merchandise from a Kirkwood business located in the 1200 block of Kirkwood Road during the week of Monday, 11-23-2015, through Sunday, 11-29-2015. The suspects were arrested for stealing and the cases were referred to municipal court.
