Police Beat: 12/7-12/13
On Monday, December 7, 2015, police received a report of a larceny in the 200 block of North Kirkwood Road. The victim laid down a ring on the counter of a local business and left. Upon returning, the ring was missing.
On Wednesday, December 9, 2015, police responded to the 600 block of Simmons for a destruction of property report. Two strands of Christmas light wiring had been cut.
On Thursday, December 10, 2015, police were dispatched to the 1000 block of South Kirkwood Road. The victim’s wallet was removed from her purse and approximately $4000.00 of charges was made at a store in the 1000 block of South Kirkwood and in St Louis City.
On Thursday, December 10, 2015, police responded to a business in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road where an alarm was sounding. The police found that the front window had been shattered with a cinderblock and numerous electronic devices were stolen. Detectives identified a suspect after he was caught committing similar crimes in neighboring jurisdictions. The suspect was interviewed and admitted his involvement. The case was presented to the St Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office where one charge of Burglary 2nd Degree and one charge of Stealing Over $500 were issued against Jimmie Tucker, 46 years of age, of Sedalia, Missouri. Tucker was being held at the St Louis County Jail on unrelated charges.
On Friday, December 11, 2015, police recovered two bicycles that were left in the yard of a residence in the 500 block of Central. The bicycles were brought to the station awaiting the owner.
On Saturday, December 12, 2015, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of North Kirkwood Road for a motor vehicle accident. One vehicle struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported. One of the drivers involved was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
