Police Beat: 9/23-9/30
On Monday, Sept. 23, at approximately 4:43 AM, a gas station in the 10100 block of Manchester Road reported the theft of $10.01 in fuel. The reporting officer is investigating.
On Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 6:23 AM, a resident in the 500 block of Angenette reported the overnight theft of items from his unlocked vehicle. Items reported stolen included cash, a leather portfolio, and two (2) checkbooks.
On Tuesday, Sept. 24, at approximately 4:24 PM, a cell phone retail store in the 1200 block of South Kirkwood Road reported the theft of a display model I-phone Xs valued at $1000.00.
On Thursday, Sept. 26, at 10:46 AM, a visitor at the City Park (502 West Adams) reported the theft of her Louis Vuitton purse from her vehicle. The suspect broke a window to the vehicle and removed her purse from under the passenger seat. The theft occurred between 10:00 AM and 10:45 AM.
On Thursday, Sept. 26, at 5:11 PM, officers were dispatched to check the welfare of an individual at the bus stop in the 1300 block of South Kirkwood Road. Officers found the subject not responsive, he had agonal breathing and his lips were slightly blue. Officers and paramedics began to administer NarCan to the subject. After four (4) doses, the subject became conscious and alert. The subject would not answer any of the officer’s questions and was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
On Saturday, Sept. 28, at approximately 10:20 AM, a resident in the 100 block of Park Avenue reported the theft of several items from his unlocked vehicle. The victim stated the theft occurred prior to September 27th. Items reported stolen included keys, a Gerber Orange knife valued at $50, and frameless Maui Sunglasses, brown in color valued at $400.
On Sunday, Sept. 29, a convenience store in the 11100 block of Manchester Road reported the theft of two (2) bottles of vodka. The theft occurred overnight. The reporting officer is investigating.
On Sunday, Sept. 29, at 8:36 AM, a resident in the 700 block of Cleveland reported the overnight theft of her 2005 Audi SUV from her driveway. The details of the theft are still being investigated. The vehicle has since been entered into a law enforcement database as stolen.
On Sunday, Sept. 29, at approximately 5:35 PM, a customer at a convenience store located in the 11100 block of Big Bend reported an individual stole his wallet out of his unlocked vehicle while he was momentarily away from his vehicle. The suspect was last seen running west on Big Bend.
During the week of Sept. 23 through Sept. 30, along with regular calls for service and traffic enforcement, the Kirkwood Police Department responded to 22 residential / business alarms, 20 motor vehicle accidents and assisted the Fire / EMS Department on 53 calls.
