Glendale Police Beat 9/7- 9/13
MON, 10/7, 4:24 p.m. A resident of the 100 block of Austin Place reported receiving a scam call stating a relative was in jail and
needed bail money in the form of gift cards. The resident verified the location and status of the relative, who was fine, and did not respond to the request for funds, knowing this was a scam.
TUE, 10/8, 3:24 p.m. A resident of the 1300 block of Beverly Avenue reported that on Monday, 10/7/19, at approximately 2:00 PM, he observed a suspicious person standing in his rear yard. When he went outside to investigate, the person was gone. He requested extra patrol of the area. This report was delayed 24 hours.
TUE, 10/8, 8:57 p.m. A 31-year-old East St. Louis, Illinois man was arrested in the 300 block of N. Sappington Road and charged in Municipal Court with Driving While Suspended, Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, Speeding, Improper Lane Use, Improper Passing, No Proof of Insurance and Failure to Dim Headlights. He was released on bond.
TUE, 10/8, 10:16 p.m. Police responded to a report a loud music coming from a vehicle parked on the lot of North Glendale School, 765 N. Sappington Road. The occupants of the vehicle were advised to turn the music down and leave the property.
WED, 10/9, 11:21 a.m. A resident of the 1300 block of Greentree Lane reported unknown persons attempted to open a Wells Fargo credit card account using her personal information. She was able to stop the application process prior to any monetary loss.
FRI, 10/11, 3:13 p.m. A 36-year-old Barnhart man was charged with one (1) count of Possession of Methamphetamine – a Class D Felony – as a result of his arrest on May 6, 2019. Bond information was not available at this time.
SAT, 10/12, 9:31 a.m. A trustee of the Frederick Lane Subdivision reported a subcontracted delivery driver for Amazon crashed into the subdivision’s gate, causing damage to the vehicle and gate. The matter will be handled between the driver’s employer
and the subdivision.
SAT, 10/12, 9:32 a.m. A resident of the 700 block of Fuhrmann Terrace reported her wedding ring was either missing or stolen from inside her residence between Thursday, 10/3/2019, and Saturday, 10/5/2019.
SUN, 10/13, 8:58 p.m. A stolen bug zapper, recovered in a Burglary and Stealing arrest on 9/15/2019 in the 100 block of Trevillian Avenue, was returned to its owner, a resident of the 1100 block of Webster Crossing Court, Webster Groves, Mo. The bug zapper was stolen on or about September 13 or 14, 2019.
