The most magical place on Earth isn’t school; it’s Disney World. Everyone is always shocked when I tell them how many times I’ve been and for those of you wondering, I’ve been 23 times. People’s faces shift from shock to confusion and the question, “Why?” soon follows. It’s hard to give an exact answer because it’s just what my family does. But when I sit down and think about it, the reason why is because at Disney I can be whoever I want. There is no pressure to be funny or to act your age. I can act like a kid and immerse myself in a fantasy world. No one there will look twice if you throw on a pair of Mickey Ears or even get your face painted like a pirate. To me, that’s priceless.

Life can be stressful. Between school and friends,  sometimes troubles really begin to pile up and the ability to escape them and see your favorite characters you grew up with in real life is wonderful. It’s even better when you can be a part of their stories on the numerous park rides. One second you’re hopping along with Tigger, and the next, flying with Peter Pan and his friends.

The next question people ask is, “Doesn’t it ever get old?” My response is, “Anything can get old. Don’t you ever get tired of eating?”

To avoid boredom, you need to find new things to enjoy. Whether it be riding a roller coaster you usually pass by or trying different restaurants, it’s not hard to find something interesting to do at Disney. But it’s not always bad to do the same things over and over. I always enjoy seeing the same shows like the Indiana Jones one, but to keep myself from being bored, I always try to have a good time. Whether it’s through looking at the actors to try and recognize old ones or looking at things that aren’t the center of attention. I often find the coolest sites out of the primary focus. One show I make sure to see everytime I go is the Lion King Show because I love the acrobatics, fire juggling and everything else about it.

For me, Disney is anything I can dream and more. It’s something I always will enjoy and at the very least, it’s better than school.
