2015 NFL mock draft
April 24, 2015
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
Despite Winston’s antics off the field, he is the most pro-ready quarterback in the draft, and it looks like the Bucs have no faith in Mike Glennon.
2. Tennessee Titans — Leonard Williams, DE, USC
With the fourth-worst run defense last season, the Titans are in desperate need up front, and Williams, at 6’5 and 302 pounds, would make an immediate impact.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars — Dante Fowler, Jr., OLB, Florida
Fowler would be a great addition to defensive-minded Gus Bradley’s squad.
4. Oakland Raiders — Kevin White, WR, West Virginia
While Cooper is the better overall prospect, White gives the Raiders the downfield threat and physicality they have been lacking for so long at the position.
5. Washington Redskins — Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson
The prospect of Ryan Kerrigan alongside Beasley is irresistible, and with Brian Orakpo gone, linebacker has become a position of need.
6. New York Jets — Shane, Ray, DE, Missouri
With Geno Smith showing promise at the end of last season, I don’t think the Jets have given up on him just yet, and drafting Marcus Mariota would be a risk this high in the draft. Shane Ray is a dynamic pass-rusher who would help Todd Bowles build the same defense in Arizona that took the NFL by storm.
7. Chicago Bears — Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
With the loss of Brandon Marshall and no true No. 2 receiver, the Bears will look to restock their offense. Cooper would be a great compliment to Alshon Jeffery.
8. Atlanta Falcons — Randy Gregory, OLB, Nebraska
I don’t see Gregory’s failed drug test in the offseason affecting his draft stock.
9. New York Giants — Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa
A season ago, Eli Manning led the NFL with 27 interceptions. It’s hard not to blame the horrendous play of the offensive line for at least part of Manning’s struggles, and I think the position is still a focus going into this year’s draft.
10. St. Louis Rams — Devante Parker, WR, Louisville
While the Rams would prefer Scherff, they haven’t had a true No. 1 wide receiver in nearly a decade, and Parker has a real chance of being that guy.
11. Minnesota Vikings — Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State
12. Cleveland Browns — Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
13. New Orleans Saints — Bud Dupree, OLB, Kentucky
14. Miami Dolphins — Breshad Perriman, WR, Central Florida
15. San Francisco 49ers — Danny Shelton, NT, Washington
16. Houston Texans — Marcus Peters, CB, Washington
17. San Diego Chargers — Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
18. Kansas City Chiefs — Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford
19. Cleveland Browns — Phillip Dorsett, WR, Miami
20. Philadelphia Eagles — Landon Collins, SS, Alabama
21. Cincinnati Bengals — Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State
22. Pittsburgh Steelers — Byron Jones, CB, Connecticut
23. Detroit Lions — Malcom Brown, DT, Texas
24. Arizona Cardinals — Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin
25. Carolina Panthers — Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami
26. Baltimore Ravens — Nelson Agholor, WR, USC
27. Dallas Cowboys — Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest
28. Denver Broncos — La’el Collins, OT, LSU
29. Indianapolis Colts — D.J. Humphries, OT, Florida
30. Green Bay Packers — Jalen Collins, CB, LSU
31. New Orleans Saints — Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State
32. New England Patriots — Jordan Phillips, NT, Oklahoma
