Varsity Football vs Pattonville
Kirkwood’s Varsity Football played Pattonville on October 9, 2015, senior night. The pioneers won 38-21. The games theme was a red out to show Pioneer pride. With it being the last home game of regular season and senior night, Pep Nation led the student section to join in the throwing of powder into the air.

Mark Borella is a 1984 Kirkwood alum who owns and operates the Seeds of Happiness studio.
"A friend of mine's son was sick, and we knew he wasn't going to make it. I made a handful of these little smiles, [and gave it to the family.] I said maybe you can hold on to [them] until you get your smile back. [The family] said 'it would be very selfish if I didn't tell you to do this for other people.'"
