Boys’ Swimming conquered the Suburban 12 title, totaling 505 points overall (the next closest school, Rockwood Summit, scored 134). Seniors Ryan Hoffman and Nick Shengelia both captured first place in individual events; Hoffman in the 100 freestyle, with a time of 50.15, Shengelia in the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.56. A team comprised of John Drury (junior), Hoffman, George Hansen (senior) and Matt Maury (senior) also placed first in the 200 free relay, with a time of 1:32.76. KHS swimmers placed first, second and third in the 100 free, second, third and fourth in the 50 free and second, third and fourth in the 200 individual medley. Next up for boys’ swim and dive is the 2014 MSHSAA Boys Swimming & Diving Championship, Nov. 7-8 at the St. Peters rec-plex.
