On Saturday, Dec. 2, the Kirkwood JV Pommies preformed in a showcase at Lindbergh high school. The Pommies performed two dances: the Pom Dance and the Jazz Dance. During the Jazz dance, the music cut out and the crowd stepped in and clapped to the beat. The girls came in second place despite the technical issues. Avery Laciny, sophomore, talks about the experience with the music stopping.
“The music cut out in the middle of our dance because Siri popped up on the coaches phone,” Laciny said. “We all just kept dancing even though the music cut out. It was really funny, I couldn’t stop laughing. It was a crazy experience, but in the end we got a standing ovation as well as the chance to redo the Jazz dance and we still came in second place on both of our dances.”
