Former KHS student Devon Cotton dies May 31
Devon Cotton, former KHS student, died at Rockford Beach Park in Jefferson County May 31. Devon was swimming with his friends when he was pulled under a current and drowned, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Missouri Highway Patrol troopers searched for Devon until a resident from the area located his body less than one mile away from where he went under.
Family member Jeff Watts set up a GoFundMe page to help provide for funeral expenses and support Devon’s mother, Jada Cotton. You can donate to the page by clicking here. Devon was a freshman at KHS before transferring to Pacific High School October 2016. But, according to Dr. Michael Havener, KHS principal, he was in the process of transferring back to KHS for the 2017-2018 school year.
