Quick Review:
The Tigers won 90-68 at South Carolina and 89-76 at home against LSU this week improving their record to 21-8.
The Tigers went up against an average 13-14 Gamecocks team Thursday, Feb. 28. This game was the second meeting between these teams this season. The first game Missouri won by six, so they appeared to be well matched, but the first game didn’t matter Thursday. The Tigers dominated the game shooting 69.9 percent. Keion Bell was the key player with 24 points in the victory.
The outcome was the same for the Tigers versus LSU the following Saturday. The game was a good one for Laurence Bowers and Alex Oriakhi, who both recorded double-doubles. Bowers had 23 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Oriakhi has 18 points to go along with 10 rebounds.
Entering the last week of the regular season, Mizzou has two tough games ahead. The first one Tuesday is a home game rematch of a Feb. 16 game against Arkansas, where the Tigers lost 73-71. The second game is on the road at Tennessee who has been quite good as of late with wins over Florida and Kentucky. The final week for Mizzou should be one that benefits Mizzou’s March Madness resume.
