Pence avoided stating that climate change is caused by human activity, instead claiming that climate alarmists are attempting to use the increase in wildfires and worsening hurricanes to push for a Green New Deal. Harris highlighted the importance of creating jobs that involve clean and renewable energy and entering a climate agreement, while still refusing to directly endorse the Green New Deal either.
