Online/Hybrid/In-person?: Students may choose to be online or in person. They may switch from in person to virtual classes at any point.

Weekly schedule:
School days begin at 7:45 a.m.
Students attend odd periods on Monday and Wednesday until 12:20 p.m. and even periods Tuesday and Thursday until 11:10 a.m. In the afternoon, all students log on virtually and complete two classes from 1:45-2:40 p.m.

Timeline of events: On July 27, Superintendent Dr. David Ulrich announced KSD would begin the school year with nine weeks of virtual learning. After that, a form was sent out to parents asking whether their children would return to in-person learning or stay at home for the remainder of the semester. The first students back on campus were freshmen on Nov. 5 and the rest of the returning students were in person by Nov. 9.
Parents were asked to report what their students would choose to be doing next semester by Dec. (date). As of now, the schedule and model of learning will be the same.

Masks are mandatory at Kirkwood, and the district provided each student with two KSD masks.
