Kirkwood girls lacrosse played Villa Duchesne on April 26, 2021. Kirkwood came out with a hard fight, but fell short and lost 12-9. Although Kirkwood lost, it does not reflect how the team played according to Sydney Shields, sophomore.

“Obviously the score wasn’t the outcome we wanted but I don’t think the numbers on the scoreboard reflected how the team played,” Shields said. “I felt like we fought through that whole game and we were playing as a team. There were things that we couldn’t control like bad calls from the ref, but we didn’t let that get to us. I was happy with how we played and proud of all the girls.”
