Kirkwood varsity hockey played Parkway South on Feb. 13 at Queeny Park Recreation Center. Kirkwood took home their first win in the Challenge Cup playoffs, and will continue their second game against Desmet Feb. 15.
“My favorite part is being with the homies,” Chase Meiborg, senior, said. “Our team is the most important part of the game.”

Mark Borella is a 1984 Kirkwood alum who owns and operates the Seeds of Happiness studio.
"A friend of mine's son was sick, and we knew he wasn't going to make it. I made a handful of these little smiles, [and gave it to the family.] I said maybe you can hold on to [them] until you get your smile back. [The family] said 'it would be very selfish if I didn't tell you to do this for other people.'"
