Easy braids tutorial

Snake braid

To start a snake braid, braid a chunk of hair (as this braid is not typically used on an entire head of hair).  After the braid is finished hold the center strand in one hand, while pushing up the other two strands with the free hand. Bring the two strands completely to the top before you proceed to stretch them out a small amount.

Boxer braids

Split hair into two sections, parting down the middle. Grab a chunk of hair at the top of the head on one side, as close to the forehead as possible. Start a three-strand braid but tuck the braid underneath rather than on top as you would with a normal braid. Every time you tuck, grab a spare piece of hair to conjoin with the outermost chunk. Repeat until excess hair runs out then finish braiding and tie it off with a hair tie. Repeat on other side.

Twist

Begin with hair in a ponytail. Section ponytail into halves and twist each half clockwise. Wrap the halves around each other counterclockwise and finish with another hair band.

Waterfall braid

Start a three-strand braid on the corner of the head. Once the braid is a few inches long, drop the middle strand if the braid and replace it with a new strand from the hair above it. Braid a few more inches and repeat. Finish off the braid once you reach the other side of the head and fasten with a hair band.
